blue subie
Hey so i swapped my seats to a 2008 model leathers and power. Now my airbag light is on. I read up and bought the resistors but my airbag harness for the front seats look very different. On the new seats only one harness plugs in on the driver side seat while on the passenger seat all of them do. Here is a picture of my driver side harness under the seat. Any help? thanks
blue subie
and by airbag light i mean the one on the dash. The one in the above the vents where the clock is does know when someone is sitting in the passenger seat so I assume the bladder for the passenger occupancy system is working. AZP Installs
The problem could be related to the crossover from the regular obdII to the canbus obdII. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. AZP Installs
We had a similar issue on an 05 to 06 sti airbag system. Turned out that one of the sensors that plugged in was the wrong voltage for the system in the car. That could also be the issue. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. blue subie
I thought that 2007 also had the canbus? I have tracked down my old seats. If I get the the entire wire harness for the seat including airbag and switch it over they should work yes? 2007 2.5i airbag and wiring into a 2008 gt seat. I know the seats are different but the airbags I cant see being different.
AZP Installs
I'm not sure the 2.5i had side airbags, the LGT may have had side ones. theoretically if you move everything over it should work but just be careful of loose connections etc. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts.
