SuperAkuma
Sorry I hate to ask these type of questions but I did a search and I didn't see any results. I have a 2011 Legacy 2.5i. It came stock with 16" 205/60/16. I have a set of OBXT 17" rim that I want to use but I need some new tires. The stock tires that it has was 215/50/17. I would like go with the 225/50/17 because the diameter is closer to stock. The only thing that I am worried about is width. Stock is 8.07" while the new size is 8.86" wide. The car is stock height and I don't plan to lower it. Will I have any issues with rubbing when I make turns?
Ellesedil
According to cars101.com, the OEM tire size for a 17" '10-'12 Outback wheel is 225/60R17. But... the Outback is a SUV, not a sedan. For additional reference, the stock '10-'12 size for the Legacy GT is 225/45/18 +55 on a 18x7.5 wheel. It looks like you're going from a 16x6.5 +48 wheel to 17x7 +48. That will most definitely fit. As for the tire, 225/50R17 will certainly fit no problem, considering the GT has a 225 tire stock. http://willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=205&aspect=60&diameter=16&wheelwidth=6.5&offset=48&width2=225&aspect2=50&diameter2=17&wheelwidth2=7&offset2=48#content
Kevjohn
Stock tires on an OBXT is 225/55R17 not 225/50R17 Edit: I should read. I am answering a question that wasn't even asked.

SuperAkuma
Update: Just got the tires install and it fits perfectly and no rubbing. It rides a lot better than stock and I can take the turns harder.
