Subikid90's $500 94 Legacy

I picked this 94 Legacy FWD 5spd up for $500 this weekend. It had a shreaded timing belt and the toothed pulley destroyed itself and the mounting hole on the water pump. Slapped in a low mileage water pump, a set of low mileage timing components and a new belt. $30 later and she was running like a champ.

 

Gave the car a bath and cleaned out the dirty interior.

Nice score! I'm wishing I didn't pass on a 91 5spd that was 400$ and only needed a battery. I bet a good compound/polish would take that oxidation on the bumper out and make the paint look almost like new Could easily turn around and get 1500 for it.

Had to pull the motor yesterday because the throwout bearing was making an awful noise. Turns out the clips holding the throwout bearing to the clutch fork were completely missing. Should have it back together tomorrow night!

 

I also had to do something about the semi truck shifter that came with the car. A little cutting and welding and I now have a short throw. Also dropped the $40 on shifter linkage bushings to tighten it up.

Got it all back together and running tonight. Very solid car for being 20 years old.
