Old School Props

Recommended Posts

After meeting with a client (mid 60's gear head/surgeon) this morning, he showed me his project car, a restored '68 Olds 442 (the '70 is my favorite). Walking out of the garage, he spotted my wagon, and asked if it was "that new Subaru". He proceeded to recite the stats for the car-hp, torque, 1/4 mile times, etc., and said "You probably surprise alot of people with that car." He also suggested that I "do something" about the stock tires.

That's cool- I love old Detroit iron. Neat that he wasn't a domestic nazi too- some of those guys hate to even look at an import.

My good buddy here at work is a big old-school MuscleCar guy as well.

And yes, he did give me props on the LGT when we took it out for a quick turn-key. Yes, I let him drive her, and yes, he did have a grin on his face. ;) "Not bad for a family-hauler!"
