scoobyscoodle
Why not a quality strut/spring combo? What are you looking to get out of them?
LGT80
because i cant find any springs that go lower then 1.5 drop. i have H& R springs on now, but im not satisfied with where its sitting. i need moar low!!
end0
Well if you can't get as low as you want with strut/springs seems like coils are what you need. Personally I've sever ridden in a car with them, nor do I think I've even seen anyone on the site that has them. It seem over on NASOIC that the WRX/STi guys like them. Brprs
I hear good things about them. I just don't think I'm ready for coils yet. Our roads get worse every year.
LGT80
well i think its safe to say that most roads are bad, no matter where you live. you just gotta drive with caution n pay attention to the roads ahead of you. haha
Brprs
I may bite the bullet and get a set. I'm not sure though. I'd like to just go with a spring/strut combo, but there are too many combos to choose from and I can't decide.

scoobyscoodle
I'm sure they would be fine for what you need as long as you don't care too much about ride quality.
LGT80
well, i do care, im trying to find the happy middle ground with ride height, ride quality and pricing. somewhere around $1000-1500
scoobyscoodle
It's just really not possible with this chassis to get really low and expect any sort of ride quality, the travel is just not there. Any coilover around 1K or so will give you adjustable ride height and stiffer springs, nothing more, nothing less. The ride height is tolerable for some, not for others, but certainly isn't great unless all of your roads are glass, and even in that case, the performance isn't there. Once you bump up to something like the RCE T1/KW V2 you get solid performance and a much better ride, but the ride quality on those coils will also suffer drastically the lower you go. Coilovers in the range of 1K are really meant for the low-show-stance crowd, and they do fine for that purpose, but I cannot tolerate them daily, and I live in socal. AZP Installs
First question is do you want them for handling or for looks? If you are looking for looks the. BC fortune etc are going to be your route. If you lower your car too much, you lose upward travel and this results in bad handling. If you are looking for a superior handling vehicle then look at konis w/springs or KW, RCE and AST coilovers. They are money but are superior handling. Also look for a suspension shop that has experience working with setups for the type of performance driving you are preparing to do. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts.
