AppleMacLegacy Posted October 21, 2011 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Hey all, I think 1 car between my wife & me is a bit hard... Rolled by the local Subaru dealer. They just took in a... 97 Legacy L Wagon 172,000 miles. They wanted $2900 out the door (tax, title, tags included). The lowest I could talk them down to was $2500. The only issues are the shifter is sloppy (it needs a new shifter knuckle--they offered to do it for $400 :roll eyes:), and there is a little bit of oil leakage out of the head gasket according to the mechanic - so it could stand to be replaced. It drives great, and started right up. This is the same dealership that sold me my 2008 Legacy. Is this a good deal? Is the mileage something I need to worry about? I am in grad school for the next 2 years and need something half-way dependable... What kind of mileage can I get out of this car would you think?
