Drift Motion
Alternate finishes? what finish would you be interested in? Definitely not gonna do them in black with polished lip because that's so 2000... it also can be fully painted or full Stealth Chrome like the wheels on my car... No two-tone. I like the look of these though. Is that size lip possible without rolling/pulling?
Drift Motion
I'm not 100% sure of what that was modeled after... Could be 7", 7.5" or 8.5" and it also could have been from a lower offset one

bluesidan
Maybe a textured/wrinkle black would look nice on these.?.?.?
Drift Motion
We did something special on a truck wheel once. Camo print onto the wheel face. Click Here So that's possible...but ultimately it's down to the final cost/demand I had a comment saying it's too heavy from another forum...your thought? whitetiger
that size and offset should be good for a 255 wide tire to fit with the proper suspension accommodations.
Drew888
I'm curious what " the proper suspension accommodations. " translates to. What would be ideal? [URL="http://legacygt.com/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1586"VbGallery/URL]
whitetiger
coilovers with stiff spring rates and some initial spring preload and camber plates, rear camber arms, not lowered too much(1-1.5"), the right alignment and a good fender roll/pull. mattg
Not really in the market but if I was I like the looks but I would think twice about the weight.
Code
That is kinda heavy. You're looking at ~50lb wheel/tire combo "Striving to better, oft we mar what's well." - Bill Shakespeare - car modder
.Catalyst.
+1 on weight concerns... I know lighter usually means more $ but I can't justify going to a heavier wheel than stock(~22lb 18" on early specB). My spec.B [#163] Project Thread with Pictures Get CryoTuned! Drift Motion
fair enough... any more inputs?
whitetiger
IMO a 23lb 18" rim isnt so bad. its 1.5" wider than the 22lb stock specb rim so 1lb for 1.5" is not a huge increase. buyers of that rim will buy for looks, width and price, not for its weight. honestly, you shouldnt expect lightweight casting/forging for something only $800 a set. You're exactly right, but I would pay more if it was lighter. A lot of others probably would too. What is really lacking for our cars is lightweight, wide, 17's with proper offset and single drilled centers. All I've found that is close are the Mach V "Awesome", but they are ugly "Striving to better, oft we mar what's well." - Bill Shakespeare - car modder
Drift Motion
17x8.5? 17x9? the thing is most cars these days are getting bigger and bigger, and 18" OEM wheels are becoming standard, thus 17" wheels are not as popular
Code
8.5 & 9 are both rare in a 17" 5x100 I agree that wheels are getting bigger in general ( my GF's Elantra has factory 17's wtf) I don't know what the lgt demand is like for wide 17's but I'll be the first on the list if you can do it @ under 18ish lbs. I love the look of my 18's ,but the weight of the wheels coupled with the fact that in PA the road conditions suck for a 40 series tire, is driving me towards 17s I personally would love the wheels in the first post with that lip/finish in a 17x9. I don't think we would get that look with proper offset in an 8.5" width, do you? Drift Motion
I remember my 17x9 FN01R-C was about 19lb...pretty awesome but yeah...the demand for wide 17s are simply not enough as of right now but I'll keep an eye on any wide 17s... boxkita
+1 for wide light 17's. Have 17x8 Enkei PF01, but would like 17x8.5 or 17x9 to run 245. Build my car Boxkita Track days
