Bruce Riggins
My right headlight is out. The instruction book says to disconnect the electrical connector. I can't get it out by pulling straight out nor can I turn it. How does this electrical connector come off? Does anyone know?

kaz98gt
^^ this, but be very careful you don't break the tab. Mine was stuck, but I just worked at it wiggling it back and forth and pulling slowly. Tedious, but it should come off at some point.

subikid90
97 has a different bulb. Dont pull on it, it wont pull out. You have to remove the rubber cover and undo the metal thing that holds the bulb in -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
LiCelsior
97 has a H4 bulb no? if so its a 3prong, and hes trying to remove the connector not the bulb. i swapped to jdm projector headlights so i forgot what my 97 bulbs were. edit: just checked and yea the connector is in there pretty snug. removing the rubber shroud and then pulling on the electrical base will get it off. daleyswanson
pinch (fairly hard) and pull. wiggling doesn't hurt either. i just did this today. we are talking about removing the plug that goes into the back of the headlight correct?
