it will handle it but it wont be reliable for long id suggest updating to stronger trans and diffs

a jdm 6speed would be hawt

 

Would a 5-Speed AWD Manual 4X4 EJ20 Turbo Subaru WRX Impreza GC8 tranny mount up to a EJ25

there is no difference in gear size/strength between any 90-02 5-speed. in around 03/04 they started putting in slightly wider gears commonly known as the 05+ LGT gearset. Note I said slightly.

 

You do need a turbo front crossmember and swaybar to clear the exhaust manifold and up-pipe.

 

The biggest challenge of doing something like this IS NOT getting the parts to physically fit. Pretty much everything is a bolt in deal.

 

The hard part is actually wiring the car so it actually works.

Well im gonna use a 2.5GT as a platform for the 2.5T motor so the wiring shouldnt be so bad. it wont be as bad as the wrx neon we just finished up
