Anyone DYI one up? Im thinking of trying to make one I am thinking of getting one of these and get my steering wheel reupholstering the over top of the elements. What do you think? Anyone know how much it would cost to get it reupholstered?

If your going to all the trouble of have it reupholstered, why not hard wire it instead of using the lighter plug.

Oh for sure, I am also thinking about putting a 3 setting dial on the back of the information button cluster...

Isn't that for the base of a windsheild, where the wipers rest (Kind of like what the Outbacks and cold weather package cars have)? I'd be really curious how you would go about using them to heat a steering wheel, and how you are going to supply power. as far as I know the Legacy/Outbacks aren't offered with heated wheels anywhere, which would mean no provision on the clock spring for power. It sure is nice in my wife's BMW though, I will say that..
