Wheels That Fit The '05-'08 Legacy and Outback

Recommended Posts

I wanted to start a thread similar to that on NASIOC for WRXs and STis for us Legacy and Outback owners (or future ones, like myself).

I have compiled a list of the wheels, sizes, and offsets compatible with the cars.

If there is any information that is missing such as offset or size, please feel free to post.

Also, if your wheel is not on the list, please post the wheel, size, and offset of your configuration. I'd like to have you post your wheel(s) only, to ensure accuracy, or if they are another from another member's car please state their name.

If you have a picture of your wheels mounted, post it or provide a link if possible. I am only posting pictures of the wheels on the car, so that viewers can see what they look like on the car. You can also state if you have suspension or not, but I will not put it in the list. It may somehow help others when they read your post.

If for any reason you want me to either remove your wheel from the list or remove your photo or unidentify your nickname from the picture, I'm a PM away.

Oh, also no Photoshops please. I know some of you have mAd sKiLLz!11 but that would void the point of this post :).

Thank you.

-Ben

*I no longer have the time to input wheels from other threads to this list, so if you'd like your wheel on this list to help out others, please reply. Thanks in advance*

for the Outback--->

for summer, Rota Tarmac II, 18x7.5", 48mm, and weight is 19.65lbs.

First pic, how low the car can go, but there are bump stop issues, so I raised it back up, and the second pic with the Tarmacs shows it at it's current height....about 3/4" higher than the first pic.

for winter, I have some Sport Editions, 17x7" D5's, 50mm offset, weight is 19lbs. These are actually made by Kosei.

Thanks 03Indigo and drewster (through PM)! Keep them coming guys.

Also, 03Indigo, do you happen to have pictures floating around of the wheels mounted? I know you have pictures of the Rota's, I'd like to only put pictures of the wheels mounted if you don't mind, so people could see what they look like on the car. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,

-Ben

Edit: I found a picture of your Tarmacs, but they are of your car lower than it currently is. If you want to change it, just send me the pic. or post it. Or keep it how it is. Up to you :).

updated pic of my car with the rota's. No pics of my winter rims yet, no tires mounted on them. Will be a month or so before they go on the car. When I get those pics, I will post them here, as an edit like I did above.

cheers

Do ANY 16" rims fit the GT? Like a 16x7 from an RS or 16x7.5 (ROTA has some in that size).

If not is it the width that's the issue, or is it the actual diameter of the wheel that's needed.

I know that for a WRX there are 15" rims

Speedline rally 15"x7"

superlites... http://www.superlite-wheels.com/

revolution wheels... http://www.revolutionwheels.com/

compomotives... http://www.compomotive.com

that fit the 4 pots available on '06, hence my question.

nice to see another CU grad (i'm '99).

Captain Obvious(me) knows the 17 inch 04 Factory STi(silver or gold) rims fit.

The gold looks very nice on a white vehicle :p and if you upgrade to Brembro brakes they will fit under the rims with no problems.;)

sorry, no pics

What? I have a set of RS wheels from my 97 LGT with snows on them. You might have just solved my snow issues. I need to go home and try it out.

I test fitted a 16" x 7" RS rim on my OBXT and it fits with a about 5 mm of clearance from the caliper.

I doubt this will fit the bigger GT brakes however.

16" winter tires here I come!
