Gemini91
How do you guys change the air filter? I took off the whole intake to replace the air filter and it took a lot of time... Any easier way?

Gemini91
CAI, I can easily disconnet the air filter from the intake easily but can't get it out becuase it's stuck by the heat shield...
Balrock
You only have to clean it like once a year? It's just a couple bolts to loosen the silcone hoses and pull the whole thing out. Washing the filter and waiting for it to dry, that takes alot longer so an extra 5 minutes isn't gonna kill.

JaeGT
wait a minute...this filter is washable? yep. http://www.fredbeansparts.com/index.php/induction/kandn-filter-recharger-kit.html just wash with soap, rinse, air dry and re-oil with the stuff above. then you're good to go
Balrock
Do not wash with soap. Go to autozone or whatever and K&N sells a kit that comes with a cleaner and the aersol oil in a can. I mean soap may not be bad, but I just go with whatever the manufactuer sells. I have cleaned and oiled the filter at least 3 times on the same kit. If your K&N filter is not oiled you are sucking in nasty shit!! The oil catches all the garbage from getting in the intake.
