CDK's 2005 BP Outback

Well, the 02 is gone, but a new OBW has taken it's place.

It's a 2005 Satin White Pearl With Titanium lower cladding. It's a high mileage car, but it has had most of the major headaches taken care of, head gaskets 1st and foremost. It came with a warranty as well, so when the wheel bearings go (which I am starting to hear grumbling) I know they will get fixed. So far, I only put about 50 miles on it and I already want to change the suspension. I got so used to how "tight" my 02 felt compared to this car, but it rides nice. Enough chat, here's some snaps.

I plan on keeping the mods pretty basic. Two things that need to be done straight away is the suspension and the radio situation. For the suspension, I am torn between just dropping it with an LGT setup, stock of course, or keeping it at stock ride height with BH struts front and back with a big ass RSB. I know the stock ride height will be the cheapest route, but these cars look so hot dropped. As for the radio, since I lucked out and have a base model, I have manual HVAC controls, so a double-DIN aftermarket head unit is going in. Gotta talk the wife into letting me buy that, since she is getting me a PS4 for Christmas, and I bought myself a new handgun for my birthday. I will post what I am doing with it. As much as I would love to swap this for a leather interior, my wife wasn't too fond of the leather in the BH, so I will keep it cloth for the time being, just give it a good cleaning.

Hey. You're right down the line from me. Lots of Suby heads in our area.

Yep. I pass by Topton on 222 everyday to get to work in Trexlertown. I see a lifted 1st Gen OBW on 222 just about everyday. He's an SL-I guy.

if its a black first gen with black wheels and a tube bumper I know who it is. he owns a suby performance shop out in Mertztown called Flat Four Specialties. you guys probably heard of it before being so close to it out there but if not I suggest taking a look at his shop if you need anything major done. I bought my 05 obxt off him and thing is a beast! :-)

The guy's name with the black 1st gen is Rich, owner of Flat Four Specialties as previously mentioned. He's a good guy and is excellent with Subies. We are working on a plan for my 05 XT for next fall/winter, should be fun.

Also, if you haven't, check out LVSE (Lehigh Valley Subaru Enthusiasts) which is a Facebook group. There's a few peckerheads on there but for the most part, they're a decent group.
