skiWA
I hope this isn't a repost... but does anyone have an opinion on single vs. dual exhaust? What do you think is better? I know the Legacys come stock with dual, but I've noticed that a lot of other tuned cars (WRX STi and others) run single exhaust. Is one better than the other? Or what can I do to improve my dual exhaust? I have a NA if that makes a difference
FPerron
I'm replacing the axle-back with a 3" straight pipe. Maybe just for the track (weight saving), but I'll be interested to see if it's too loud for the street.
grocery getter
Performance wise the single exhaust makes sense - less overall weight(one exhaust unit vs. two) and potnetially better flow of the exhaust gases out of the car. However, I personally love how the dual exhaust tips look and don't believe the performance gain for me is worth the visual gap that a single exhaust would look on the leggy. black318i
Well the stock mid is 2.35" (GT) so even a single 2.5 would be an improvement provided the resonator and or muffler flow better than stock. I'd go single for weight savings if it weren't the bumper cutouts.
