05 Scooby roo Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 Looking for any input I can get here. I just had a ton of work done on my motor and had turbo replaced. When I step on the gas pedal, I get a horrible popping noise like the turbo actuator is slamming back into place. I have maybe 200 miles on the motor so far. I cant build boost. I do know the Perrin ebcs was put in wrong. Can this cause that sound? I am bringing it back to the place that worked on it but interested to hear possible causes. Max Capacity Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 may be a vacuum hose fell off 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
