FJuan
+1, Even with my 6.5s I had to modify the hole by bending back the metal surround. With the 6.75s, you may consider cutting a larger opening. My wife's balls are delicious.
Andreu
what is the factory speaker size
str8dwn
factory is 5.25 i believe, but Quart 6.5s fit fine with no drilling or cutting (1" of Kartboy spacers though due to depth).
OGG
How much of a spacer can you use? I want to put some Cadence comps in my wife's car to replace her (blech!)Infinities. The problem is that they're 3" deep and the Infinities barely clear the window with a spacer. I have them angled like the factory speakers for better imaging. Jimbizzle
factory is 5.25 i believe, but Quart 6.5s fit fine with no drilling or cutting (1" of Kartboy spacers though due to depth). Mb Quart? Which model? How about the rear doors?
str8dwn
My MB Quarts are the new PVF-216. I left the stockers in the rear doors disconnected. I have a 300/4 bridged @ 150x2 on them.
Jimbizzle
I was thinking of the PCE-216 but I don't want to get an amp. Do you think it's worth getting that component set without an amp?
str8dwn
Quarts are known to need lots of power, so keep that in mind. However, they should sound better than stock, but overall volume may suffer some due to the lower efficiency.
