LegGTLT
Seems like enough info is out there to start this. Confirmed info that 2013 WRX/STI is it's own platform > Turbo FA 2.0 Info comes out > JDM DIT Legacy Debuted with FA 2.0T> I make a thread and we debate silly rumors till real info is released... Seems pretty standard. Please PM joeleodee For All Site Questions. He is the acting Admin and can resolve anything related to LegacyGT.com
RochNY91TSI
Been looking into this as well since I'll probably buy a WRX since nothing else that I like is available in the Legacy platform... Following these threads: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2298666 http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2306874 Rumors thus far are that 2013 will remain unchanged and 2014 will have the new platform. The B4
confirmed by who? Model year 2013 will be a carry over... and I suspect Model Year 2014 will be as well. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
LegGTLT
Why would they introduce a new 2012 Impreza but go three more model years with the WRX in the older body style? I thought the "carry over year" was really just a year: 2012. Just surprised they would divide the models then not update the other relatively soon. Please PM joeleodee For All Site Questions. The B4
If the WRX and STI split from the Impreza, it doesn't matter when the Impreza gets released. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

LegGTLT
I guess so...... I thought they would take a year off not three years of letting it simmer to death. I guess not. On it carries in it's current form, offferings, and design for another 2 plus model years. Please PM joeleodee For All Site Questions. blaze741
I'm picking up my 12 WRX on the 11th of next month. 13 model year? o well. =P Can't always wait for the next model while you can still get a current one. You really never know whats going to change. Besides, I hate buying first model year cars. It just leaves me feeling uneasy.

blaze741
Haha, it'd be number 2 for me. I never really had any problems with my current one. No reason to believe I'd run into issues with a new one.
zmarko
Not saying this means anything....but edmunds.com has this.... View photos 2013 Subaru WRX Sedan - Available Soon Fuel economy:N/A What's New for 2013 Following last year's regular Impreza redesign, the 2013 Subaru WRX will be all-new. Target Launch: Fall 2012 Pricing & Specs are Edmunds.com's expectations. MSRP not available for Pre-Production vehicles What Edmunds Says "Impreza" may be absent from its name, but the 2013 Subaru WRX remembers its roots and improves on its legacy with more power and better efficiency. LegGTLT
Probably a mistake on their end? B4 assures us that 2013 is not the new year (nor 2014 most likely) and his connections to the upper echelons of SOA have been pretty dead on over the last 7 years. Subies4Life
Are they still building EJ series engines? Yes they are for 2012-13 WRX's. I think that will be the only Subaru model with the EJ left until they put the FA in it for 14. The EJ had a long run though what a awesome engine. The new next gen engines will be awesome aswell. I do wonder what a chain belt DI EJ would be like though.

Subies4Life
I would rather wait until the 2015 model comes out. The GR is nice, but the next gen WRX and STI will be alot better. Any word on the 14 yet?
