Got a revised tune from Mike. He was doing a great job on my new setup, just want to share results. It may not be the final one, did not heard from him yet.

Car feels great, borla cbe not only a sound mod.

Here is what I have:

Flex Up,

Lachute catted DP,

borla cbe,

K&N drop-in,

lightweight pulley

Let me know what you think please. Thanks

2nd and 3rd gear runs

You need to get that fixed.

IAM should have been 1.0 after a datalog. It's not 1.0 because you've got all kinds of knock in the high load region.

Power is down too considering you are at 1000 ft elevation. Not sure why. Could be a host of reasons.

Thanks!

Now I've loaded the original OTS TA tune Mike sent me, will post logs soon.

First time it looked like too low boost to me, so i've asked for a tweak.

But it might be the only safe tune I have to go with.

mickeyd2005,

Should OP run learn viewer as well too or just a waste of time with the new knock counter feature in the new defs??

The knock counter will let you know for sure if you knocked on that pull, however if it is learned liked the OP you would need to utilize the learning view. The knock counter used in combination (before/after runs) with the learning view is likely the best way to log.

Infamous1, what do you think of my last logs? Am I Ok to drive the car?

Did not hear from Mike yet..

No it still needs to be fixed. Your load is way down causing you to run too much timing resulting in all kinds of knock and timing being pulled. I almost certain if you pull another learning view it will show even more learned correction.

There is no knock showing, if that is what you want to know.

The one file has real funny timing, but I am assuming that is the tranny shifting.

I am no VF40 expert, so if you can run more timing, or more boost, or......................is kinda hard for me to give good advice.

FWIW boost control and timing looks conservative and fairly solid.

Thank you, sir.

At least now I know it is safe.

I am waiting on what Mike is going to say.

Interesting, acceleration is more even, I do not feel big push after 3200, as it use to be, its more linear, and much better after 4500 to a redline. Probably full catback is helping there.

I though I replied here

It feels more linear because he took a big chuck of timing out that was causing you to knock all over the place. Your boost is pretty low but you aren't going to get much more without a smaller pill or ebcs. I think he still has a little room for a bit more timing but right now your runs are clean.

Ok, I used more aggressive map from Mike, call it version 2.

Car feels much stronger, if it would be a safe as well, I'll be happy !

Here they are: (68F outside, 75-77 intake temp)

It seems that car is hitting a target boos (17.7 per Mike), no pill is necessary?

TPLGT, was reading your tune thread again.. You've had around 19 psi of boost on a stock TMIC with PDX map, right?

Is such boost was possible only beacuse of a smaller pill? I have the same setup plus a CBE, but 17 psi is max for me.. Feel jealous :-))

Hi yeah before I went stage 2 I had an Ecutek stage 1 tune. The Tuner could not get the car to boost so a smaller restrictor pill was added. I don't know what size it..sorry.

Yeah I was using a PDX stage 2 map but when I bot the TMIC, I had Mike at TA make me one...so now I am running the TA map...car feels great!. Today I was on the highway doing 80 and I matted it..at WOT, I threw a CEL so I will be reading the code, clearing it and logging to see whagt happened....

I suspect if you put in a smaller pill, you will get much better boost...ask Infamous which size you should use.

Rehab is for quitters.

Thank you, sir.

CEL? Hope nothing serious there.

Infamous1, what pill size you would reccomend? 1mm? 1.1? Was reading a lot, people suggest to go between 1mm to 1.2 mm, as stock pill is 1.25mm. (05 LGT)

Correct me if I am wrong.
