ChefRacer
So I just picked up a turboxs intake for my 05 lgt. It says that it's for an 08-10 wrx and they are mostly the same as our cars so I figured that it should fit the same. I Didn't realize that the maf sensor was different between the two in shape and mounting points. So my question is, are the connections the same between the older and newer versions? If I find a newer sensor, will it plug and play with just maf scaling to get it all setup? Thanks for the help, I appreciate any advice you can throw my way. SCASEYS
OK, still is it a CAI or a shortram ? does the MAF bolt right in? I donated to LegacyGT.com which allows me to have this nifty signature. ChefRacer
Trust me, I wanted to stick with the stock airbox but I had heard mixed reviews of the racer x so I went with the turbo xs fmic which requires an intake. I modified an hks intake which was made for an older wrx initially b/c I couldn't afford anything decent at the time. I'm not a noob and I am my tuner. I just want to know if the newer maf is plug and play or if I need to do some wiring modifications Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
ChefRacer
Yes the maf bolts in, but the bolt pattern is different and the hole for the sensor is smaller Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
SCASEYS
http://legacygt.com/forums/search.php?searchid=11492522 log your AFR, if it's off you will need to do MAF scaling at least that is what search has provided me with I donated to LegacyGT.com which allows me to have this nifty signature. ChefRacer
I know how to scale a maf, that's not my question at all. I'm asking if the newer maf will plug into the old maf harness without modification. Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
GTTuner
Ok, it's going into an 05, what year WRX did it come out of? I will get you a connector pin out. 08-10, correct?

ChefRacer
I might just make up an adapter plate to use my current maf if it doesn't connect up. Might be easier Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
GTTuner
Looking at the two schematics I believe the sensor operates the same but the terminals MIGHT need to be swapped around in the connector. PM me if you want the schematic for both years.
