youknowit
First off i have a 2008 LGT with the stupid 2nd to 3rd shifting thud. Well i brought it back to the dealership the first time and all they did was the quick "reflash" of the TCM/TCU. well long story short that didnt fix the problem. So i brought it back to them months later for the same issue (finally couldnt deal with it anymore) and they did a complete reflash of the TCM and that fixed it. as of right now you cant feel any of the shifts really. Its unbelieveable how much better this car rides. Ill go out to my car once i finally wake up and get the paper work that they gave me incase anyone needs anymore info. I figured id let people know that had this problem that there is hope lol
scoobydoobie
I have this issue and it drives me crazy. I'm afraid something will break if its not fixed.
TurboOutback
I just got a 08 outback with a 5eat and yeah I had that exact issue. I'll have them apply that fix. Hopefully that will take care of the intermittent low rpm shutter too. I hear changing the transmission fluid helps with that.
08LGTDE
Anyone else ever experienced this issue and found resolution with this TCM Reflash? Also what is the difference in what they did each time so I can assure a "complete reflash"

thaic
I think I had a mistake when I check ATF level ( have to idling engine when check ATF dipstick) . I added more than 0.5 litter fluid. Now the thud have been gone. Hope helping everybody.
