mandayaj
Hey there. I want to buy a 2008-2009 Subaru Legacy GT, Spec B, or GT Limited. I really want the Spec B but it's really hard to find so I might have to settle for a GT. Can anyone tell me the difference between a Spec B to a GT to a GT Limited? I've gone online and did some research but still not clear on all of them. Amanda

Amanda Hi Amanda, Have you read any of the stickied threads in this forum, perhaps in the same folder where you just posted - http://legacygt.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/fourth-generation-legacy-2005-2009-10.html ? With regards buying an older car, patience is required. Many people have waited upwards of 6 months to find the right one for sale. So, some questions you should answer first: 1. sedan or wagon 2. 5mt or 5eat 3. color? 4. leather or cloth 5. stock or modified 6. you can do your own work or you'll pay someone else 7. have you read the threads on care & feeding of an older turbo car? 8. sunroof or not 9. Budget? 10. how soon do you need the car (goes with 8)? For instance, my LGT 5MT wagon could be for sale - http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/fs-wa-2005-legacy-gt-limited-wagon-stage-4-195338.html?t=195338 Then again, I count 5 SpecB's for sale on the "cars for sale" first page - http://legacygt.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/cars-sale-29.html Build my car Boxkita Track days

Drogos
Spec b. has 6mt, torsen RLSD, bilstein susp., some aluminum bits. These are the things that actually matter, other less important goodies are leather/alcantara seats, useless navi, pretty nice although heavy stock wheels. 6mt is bullet proof so if any power mods are expected that's preferred way to go. If you plan to stay stock and drive mostly in the city I think you would prefer 5mt and extra money in the pocket for a nice set of winter wheels
LatentWagen
Drogos, you forgot about the time savings incurred by the spec B's warp drive. Returning from my last road trip, I actually arrived before I left. LW's spec. B / YT / IG
chato
spec b also has the unicorn hide seats.
EJ25subie05
you will not compare the two, i have owned 3 legacys. a 2005 lgt limited, a 2006 spec B #41 and now my current daily which is getting a good bit of mods, 2007 spec B. And by far the best is the 2007, i love the ride, the seats are by far the best (i love the suede middle with leather sides, just a sucker for those as my is300 had the same setup and missed it ever since) the 6 speed is amazing, oh dont forget the awesome high way rpms for a few thousand more get the spec B, theres a 2008 by my place for 14-15k and there is or was a 2007 on here for 12.5k i believe.
