David E
Searched but didn't find this info. Will a gauge cluster from a 2.2 work in a 2.5 ? Both are 120 mph so don't see an issue with the speedometer / odometer. Would be swapping the tach from the 2.5 into the 2.2 cluster.
Carleton
David, though I'm no expert the tach seems to be interchangeable. I've been reading about doing this to my tach-less manual Brighton wagon and it seems pretty straightforward. The only (non) issue is the red line for 2.5L engines is 500 rpm higher than the red line on 2.2Ls.
sikend667
both recive the same signal displacement doesnt change that. the only time you run into trouble is when you try to run 6 cyl to 4 cyl conversions then you have to change the tach signal
stevenva
You could swap the whole cluster or just the tach. I'd just swap the tach if it was mine. The cluster is easy to work on. You could replace/upgrade the bulbs at the same time. RIP 96 Legacy 2.2 4EAT lost reverse @ 374,000 miles
