The rallisportracing prototype.....Finally

Recommended Posts

Some quick photos of the finished prototype is a 4-2-1 technically and the layout flows well! This design was chosen because it makes more sense than other the typical UEL on the market.

1 5/8" primaries and 1 3/4" secondaries, 2 1/4" final diameter. Will bolt directly to the 2.5i cat/mid pipe and retains the stock O2 locations. The material is full S304. Catalytic converters are MagnaFlow ceramic double dipped combs (same as OEM) and all bends are mandrel not stretch. Ports are gasket matched and fit over or past the lower driver side engine mount!

:)

The more juicy info is that a few lucky folks will get the pre-production units ahead of the final production units! This will help ease demand and get these in the hands of owners to test and talk.

Help is on the way :)

The funny part is, the majority of the people interested in this probably don't even care about the power gain, they just want the rumble!

True LOL but if we can show a gain we can claim "gain" and that helps. But better than that it can be said that this UEL doesn't exhibit or result in the less desirable aspects of the other UEL options on the market. That will be easy: NO CEL and 100% BOLT ON ;)

The material is mild but look for the production units to be S304. However you could see S409 with ceramic coating as well. Catalytic converters are ceramic double dipped combs (same as OEM) and all bends are mandrel not stretch, and full TIG welded. Ports are gasket matched and fit over or past the lower driver side engine mount!

Looks good but just curious why they would use an OEM cat instead of a high flow cat? Nice that you 06+ guys will have some bolt on options now.
