wagonmaster87
Anyone else besides me hate the sound of the Legacy Horn? Sounds like a little dinky car to me. I had a 2000 Outback before I got my 2005 LGT and the horn sounds the same, wondering if all Subaru horns sound this wimpy? I was wondering if anyone has gotten a new horn or if you can replace the stock horn with a better one? If so I would love to know thanks.
leftride
yup & yup. just search for some other threads about it. I replaced mine and am much happier. here's one: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65683 *vb gallery*
desertfoxaz
AutoSport.com sells a really loud air-horn. I wonder if it sounds like a semi? That might be fun in traffic when some jerk cuts you off
OhBe1
Link? I went to autosport.com & it's an F1 news page (now bookmarked). At any rate to the OP - search for hella or fiamm references. I have Hella Supertones (from rallylights.com) in the Taco - tone is irritating (a good thing, actually) & they are highly directional. And look cool behind the grille. Dunno that the Ongaro I have in the Miata could be easily mounted.... 06LOB2.5i MT, JDMRSB, GYTTs, HPS, LGT Mufflers & Leather Wheel, SubiMomo Knob, Inalfa Moonroof, Clutch Switch Bypass, DeDRLd, DeChimed, & Straight Headrest. Whirling Dervish
Hella Supertones FTW. Check out this link, I don't think that our factory horn is any different than the 98-99 2.5 RS... Yamarocket630
I added a Wolo badboy air horn behind the grill. It's a dual trumpet air horn integrated into 1 unit with the compressor, and mounts with 1 bolt. Very eye opening to the inattentive driver. http://www.wolo-mfg.com/air.htm
Bulletproof4age
You run a relay, or just use the factory 12v?
Beanboy
That Wolo badboy looks interesting. One of these days I wanna replace the horns, but literally want to remove stock ones and replace with aftermarket ones. No need for relays, additional wiring, blahblah. -B http://www.standardshift.com
Beanboy
Ordered up some Freeway Blasters from Amazon for $27 shipped. One high note, one low note. Seems to be the easiest to setup. -B http://www.standardshift.com
