zach999 Posted July 21, 2006 Share Posted July 21, 2006 Ok I am definitely a newbie to the Subaru world but I love the car and how it handles. I do wish for a little more horsepower out of the 06 Subary Legacy Wagen 2.5i but I definitely did not need the GT's power. What is the lowest cost (~$1K) way to get say 10-15 more horsepower out the 2.5i without voiding warranty? I have read some of the other threads about how I shoulda got the GT but I really did not need all that power. Any help is much appreciated. There's some info on here about custom intakes - you should check that out. I think you can also do some stuff with pulleys, cbe, and headers. There's also talk of putting a turbo on for about $3k. But with the compression ratio at 10:1, I'd be pretty weary of this. Head over to the N/A Technical forum. cwmiller Posted July 21, 2006 Share Posted July 21, 2006 I would look into getting an intake kit (if anyone makes one) and a short throw shifter. And larger rear sway bar would also help. Its all about the Impreza Impreza Impreza and GT Some of us have gotten quite innovative with intakes though.
