heresmymind
I ended up selling my large greddy turbo and upgrading my brakes. I ordered a full wilwood front/rear kit. I did this for auto x this season. I will be doing a complete write up with pics for everyone because i know there isnt much info on this kit. Also a great feature is that they fit under 15" rally wheels or stock 16's because they only use 12" rotors. The rear rotors are as large as a stock WRX fronts :-D -B these are the brakes that i ordered: I also ordered wilwood stainless lines to go with them. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Front-Rear-Disc-Brake-Kit-Wilwood-140-9193-D-/00/s/NjMwWDYwNg==/$(KGrHqR,!p4E8WkyvucLBPIzyJEgHw~~60_12.JPG The Front Disc Brake Kit Includes: Drilled & Slotted, 0.81" Thick x 12.00" O.D. LosAngelesLGT
Sounds funny but I have wilwood Superlites on my Dodge Durango and they are awesome. I let someone else drive it who knows nothing about cars and they said "I like your brakes!"

Lsnaple
Awesome, but is that not overkill for autocross? Did the 4-pots not handle it well enough?
heresmymind
well I installed the rears last night. OMG what a pain in the ass. You have to cut a small part off your normal brake mounts (the backing plate). and the gave me bolts that were too long for the bracket, they rubbed right up against the rotor when installed, so i had to source smaller bolts. once installed they work great. HUGE difference on my braking power. Now I don't have abs atm (need new sensor). So the car locks up all 4 and slides. pedal has become "squishier" even with stainless lines. Not sure if I need a rebleed or if its because the 4 pot rear takes more fluid than the 1 pot stock. Performance is great. install was a PITA. the fronts go on later today. (much easier of an install) -B http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7025/6841188761_a1bd6cf525_b.jpg
lulzcow
If your ABS sensor went bad my guess is the ABS system needs a bleeding as well. There's some kind of electronic control device that Brok can comment on, he knows better than I. Looks really good though. Not hating, but those aren't drilled rotors! overspool
If your sensor goes bad I don't think that it allows air into the ABS controller... Some ABS units can be bled from a bleeder screw like on a caliper. I've never looked at the legacy abs controller tho.
overspool
I would rebleed them to make sure. When I installed my brembos I noticed a better brake feel, but it still isn't as stiff as I'd like. I can only think of a couple things. The legacy master cylinder is pretty small. It might not be able to push enough fluid fast enough, causing a slightly spongy pedal. There could be air in the master cylinder. There could be air in the abs controller. Or, a master cylinder brace is needed.
heresmymind
I am going to do a true bleed the factory way. i installed the fronts last night. They look and stop great. much smoother and linear of a pedal feel. -B http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7061/6846177977_1bb919c334_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7024/6846183843_d950b8148d_b.jpg
WESTcoast
look into getting the sti master brake cylinder and/or getting the grimspeed master brake cylinder brace. Those two should take the squishy feeling out of the pedal
