Deals on other Sites (5th Gen)

Recommended Posts

I sent the seller a message cuz he had it listed as a 2010 to 2012 and I asked him if it was maybe in fact a 2013. He revised his ad to say 2013 only. Looks pretty clean. If we didn't need to get a grille and fogs, I am sure one of us would have popped for it already.

I will have to pick up and try the new one, not that I need navi I just want a factory look. Then I will have an oem look minus my A pillars which have my Pioneer Stage4 tweeters mounted in them.

Yeah, definitely let us know, I'm sold minus hearing a review.

I got one as well, will let everyone know how it is.

Reviews (both video and text) of similar units for other make/models look promising.

Seems its easy enough to load updated firmware/software

and potentially swamp in other GoGo or TomTom maps.

For 300 bucks I'll experiment and toss it if its no good.

Wouldn't do the same for the regular price @ 1-2K.

Just as ridiculous as OEM.

Software is a bit sketchy and could be better, definitely not worth the price on amazon $1400. For $250 it is not bad, and it does take time getting used to. Doesn't show radio station/song title names, makes a slight occasional popping sound when changing stations...not sure if it is the stock amp. At night the gps seems a bit bright even in night mode, it would be nice if we could install a better gps software. Also the gps clock doesn't stay remembered, so every time you start it..it is at 12am and the map is in night mode until it picks up a satellite. Overall I am sure there are better systems out there, but for $250 it is just ok. Fit, texture, finish/color is spot on.

Cool! Thanks for the pics and review.

How is the sound quality when playing radio/CDs or using AUX? Is it on par with the stock unit, better/worse?

We'll mod it soon enough, load up different firmware, software, updated or replacement nav and maps.

These unit that seem to use the same hardware have a vastly different GUI so that could be one approach.
