jdm projectors

I was wondering how i would go about hooking up an hid kit to the low beams, projector part.

its really easy, ill take some pics tomorrow to show you how i did it

ok, basically all you have to do is drill a 3/4" hole in the middle of the projector cap and stick the wires from the bulb assembly through (be careful NOT to touch the bulb its self) and make sure the skirt/plug think fits snugly. connect the wires with the factory ones that come through the cap, put the bulb in and you are set. just ziptie the ballast and igniter out of the way

i have jdm fogs but says the bulb is an h3 on the housing and on the bulb? are their different sets?

jdm projector headlights are h1

 

jdm projector fogs are h3

Jdm high beams are H3. Low beams are H1.

jdm reflectors (next to the projector fog) are H3 as well

get a H1 HID with 9003 0r 9007 harness depending in your car. My 98 LEGO is 9007 harness.

I just wired mine for H1. Much easier and less wires hanging around. Zues the relectors light in the JDM projector fogs in mine is a 1156 bulb I believe.

the outer reflectors ont he jdm fogs are not H3, not on mine anyway. they are the same as the bulbs in the reverse light except 35w instead of 21w (i put them in the reverse lights, thats how i know, lol)

Same here. Didnt know they were 35W though.

i have a 9007 kit that i had for the stock headlights i had, should i just order h1 bulbs?

yes just go with H1

everyone is confusing me lol...can i just buy h1 bulbs off ebay and hook that up with my 9007 hid kit that i already have yes or no lol

just buy ddmtuning(.com) HIDs in size H1, sell the 9007 kit.. getting into harness' and all that is making it harder than it needs to be lol

SO get the whole kit and not just the h1 bulbs

yeah, that way you can sell off the kit you have and not just have 2 9007 bulbs no one wants
