chri5
Hows everybody! So heres the deal. I found an 05 LGT w/ 72k miles for about 10-11k. Ive done some reading about what to look for before buying a pre-owned car...Some of the things ive found out is try to notice some smells thats not supposed to be there, or weird noises that arent supposed to be heard and try to obtain maintenance papers. Im not very inclined w/ real technical issues regarding subaru's but im sure that there are a lot of you guys out there who are. So i would very much appreciate any pointers or some kind of checklist to what to look into when buying a pre-owned LGT. Anything helps. Thanks! thebigevilfoot
If it's automatic check the tranny fluid. Check that the turbo spools up properly, this is something you'll feel. Stuff like that.
LosAngelesLGT
More often than not people do not do all the regular maintenance on their vehicle. Generally if you are buying a car with over 60k you have a car that has skipped a service. Maintenance records or a datebook of owner maintenance (I keep dates of when I chance the oil, etc) I would have it checked for regular maintenance and the things that are shot on a car over 65k. OEM suspension is mostly shot for one.
