covertrussian
Just curious on what the real world 6 speed spec.B's are getting at 70-75mph highway driving. EPA rates the 07 Spec B at 26mpg hwy while 5 speed GT is 27mpg. EPA is not always knows for their accuracy though, hence I'm curious to see what the real world numbers are. According to this thread, STI's seem to get better gas mileage at 75-80mph which is 3000-3300 rpm. Which could be because the boxer is just out of the efficiency range at 2300rpm going 70mph, borderline lugging the engine. 05 LGT 16G 14psi 290whp/30mpg (SOLD) 12 OBP Stock 130whp/27mpg@87 Oct 00 G20t GT28r 10psi 250whp/36mpg 22 Ascent STOCK

covertrussian
07 LGT stg 2 cryotuned 26mpg highway 18-22mpg wv back roads 3mpg under boost Thanks! That's really not that great for highway! Do you know what speeds that's at usually? Edit: As you clarified this is for 2007 LGT 5 speed. My 05 LGT seems to hover at 2900 at 70mph and 3100 at 75mph with 225/45/17 tires. 05 LGT 16G 14psi 290whp/30mpg (SOLD) 12 OBP Stock 130whp/27mpg@87 Oct 00 G20t GT28r 10psi 250whp/36mpg 22 Ascent STOCK
Max Capacity
Last weekend my Spec B got 27mpg on the dash going up and back to VT. I filled up in Springfield MA just off the highway. It's 83 miles from there to exit 6 in VT. then 23 miles on rt103 to Ludlow VT. two 1 mile trips to Okemo from the house, then back to Springfield on Sunday. Did 70-73mph in S mode and I mode most of the way. Cobb Stage 2 catted dp Yesterday my wagon got 23.7mpg on the same drive, going a bit faster 73-75mph, only a few blast to 90+. The wagon has been getting that mpg pretty much the past 6 weeks or so. Winter fuel, I should clean the panel filter too, its a little dirty. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). covertrussian
Do you compare the dash to real world calculated mpg? Last night dash was giving me 27.1 when in reality I got 28.7. The dash does average out over couple hundred miles, but on single trip basis it's usually off by 10%. I'm really surprised your wagon gets that low of gas mileage. Double check your tire pressures, try running 42/40psi. That seemed to have halfway restored my winter gas MPG loss. It sucks that the Spec B is actually about the same gas mileage even with reving much lower. Driving around town the car feels to have enough torque at 2k-2.5k rpm, but perhaps wind resistance needs more. 05 LGT 16G 14psi 290whp/30mpg (SOLD) 12 OBP Stock 130whp/27mpg@87 Oct 00 G20t GT28r 10psi 250whp/36mpg 22 Ascent STOCK
Max Capacity
The dash reads about .6-.8 more then when I do the math. My wagon has the big Mishimoto radiator, I'm wondering if the engine is having a hard time running hot enough the get better mpg. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. My wagon has the big Mishimoto radiator, I'm wondering if the engine is having a hard time running hot enough the get better mpg. Mine tends to be about 1mpg optimistic in the city, but highway it goes both ways some days it's 1mpg optimistic, other days it's 1mpg low. The trend I've been seeing, when I get 28+mpg gauge tends to think I'm getting 27mpg or less. 70mph. Actually before my stage 2 tune I was floating around 22mpg on the highway. On the spec b or regular 07 LGT? That's crazy low, heck even mine bone stock was doing 24 in the winter and 27 when it's warm. 05 LGT 16G 14psi 290whp/30mpg (SOLD) 12 OBP Stock 130whp/27mpg@87 Oct 00 G20t GT28r 10psi 250whp/36mpg 22 Ascent STOCK

covertrussian
LGT. I'm sure our hilly highways out here don't fit into EPA's standard definition of highway . Ain't that the truth. The worst MPG I got was 22.27 going from 81 to 64 west through snow. If your getting that in dry weather then either you got a heavy foot or somethings up with the car. I personally just set it to 70mph on cruise and let it go, only get up to 75 rarely to pass cars. Coming back from 64 to 81 I got 31.4mpg, all of the downhill + high tire pressure got me pretty good numbers 05 LGT 16G 14psi 290whp/30mpg (SOLD) 12 OBP Stock 130whp/27mpg@87 Oct 00 G20t GT28r 10psi 250whp/36mpg 22 Ascent STOCK

Max Capacity
I also have 18" wheels on the wagon now, will that lower the mpg ? I wonder think it would make that much difference. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. covertrussian
It can if they are much heavier, even if they are, it still depends on where the weight is at. If most of the weight is towards the center of the rim the difference wont be as drastic. 18" rims will rev lower per mile though, they are 1" taller (with stock tire size). Using a gear calculator stock LGT revs at 2901rpm at 70mph, with 18" wheels you should be reving at 2788rpm at 70mph. Which on most cars is pretty good and should give you a slight MPG bump. But as I'm starting to see that might not be the case for inefficient boxers. 05 LGT 16G 14psi 290whp/30mpg (SOLD) 12 OBP Stock 130whp/27mpg@87 Oct 00 G20t GT28r 10psi 250whp/36mpg 22 Ascent STOCK
Streetlegal
Have an 07 spec b. Last tank was 25.1mpg on S. Normally get about 24 on I. Trying S# this tank. Drive 90mi round trip for work everyday, 90% highway with some little sprints here and there, so I just usually do the mileage on a tank basis. Set cruise around 72mph and let her drive. Currently I am just Cobb Stg 1.
covertrussian
Streetlegal! That's funny that I gets worse then S, could be because I is so detuned on power.... So far it seems like 05-06 LGT's might be the best MPG getters... 05 LGT 16G 14psi 290whp/30mpg (SOLD) 12 OBP Stock 130whp/27mpg@87 Oct 00 G20t GT28r 10psi 250whp/36mpg 22 Ascent STOCK
