dr_sly_man
So I have katana k15 17*7 rims on my car with some federal 215 45 r17 tires. I'm moving to Georgia (from Oregon) next month and want to make sure I have a spare tire. My neighbor has some momocorse 17*7.5 rims, is it okay to run different size rims with the SAME tire? I know the tires have to with 1/4 inch circumference.. Thanks guys!
scoobyscoodle
If you're using it as a spare I think you should be fine. But keep in mind that the same tire on two different rim widths will produce a different overall diameter due to the tire being more square on one and more stretched on the other. But since a 215 on a 7", or 7.5" isn't really stretched, the difference will be negligible.
