XtremeCreations
Does anyone know how to install the shock sensor under the Passenger seat? The Dealer wants $80 to install the sensor. If I have the right tools to do it, I'd rather install it myself and save some $$$.
XtremeCreations
Ok, I did some more searching and I'm not sure what to think. From other threads it says that the car needs to be hooked up a service computer to change the sensitivity. I swear I read something in this forum about adjusting a knob within the shock sensor module.
firedawgs
Yes, a adjusting knob. They are probaby saying that so you have to pay the dealer. I am pretty sure the security system is similar to the WRX; which is up under the dash on the drivers side. You will see the box label security. There is a plug for the perimeter alarm. Do not quote me on this now. But I did this in MY04 WRX. Updated my vBGarage:
XtremeCreations
I know the shock sensor goes under the passenger seat. What I'm not clear on is whether I need to have the dealer program the shock sensor. I may just need to find out the hard way.
Opie
Yes you have to have the dealer program the shock sensor on the '05 Legacy's and there is no knob to adjust the shock sensor, it's also done with the Subaru Select Monitor as the keyless entry and security system are intergrated with the ECU.
