Does your front mount get enough airflow in the way it's set up? It looks like there's a lot of bumper blocking it.

I have an 03-04 outback bumper slated for it. Theres really nothing left to my original bumper skin. I had to cut ALOT to get it to fit.

Oh sorry I mean like, external airflow running THROUGH the fins. Seems a lot of intercooler for not much cooling

I know they're a b**** to plumb on subis.

Theres a lot of empty space behind the bumper. This fmic is huge. Either way, outback bumper will help. What doesnt help is that there is no kit made for the BE.. its an 04 sti kit and some of the pipes still arent wide enough.

So jealous. I'm very slowly building mine. Once I score a second job, then I will easily be able to finish the wagon, hard to build 2 cars, one of them still paying off. So just taking my time with them both

DeleriousZ,

Can you tell me if your outback still has the 1" spacer on it for the engine crossmember even though the car is lowered? Or possibly measure how far below your STi TMIC sits below the hood line? I feel like my TMIC sits higher when looking at some photos of your engine bay and I want to figure out what the difference is to create the space. I just don't want the top mount rattling against the hood.

Thanks! And your car is sweet BTW.

Ben

You know, I'm not too sure. I believe the car has Beatrush engine mounts on it, so I would assume that the spacer has also been removed. I don't think I could have gotten the car this low with it in there?

so much potential, looks good already. needs more low and any side pics

Rears need to come down, but fronts can't come down any more, it already rubs like crazy around corners (mostly on the inner fenders.) Needs some serious work and a smaller battery to get everything to clear better.

When you find a smaller battery that doesnt suck let me know. Im running into issues with my fmic piping and battery fighting for territory. Thinking about doing battery relocation to trunk but hate the idea. I cant seem to find one in the same group with similar cca and rc performance. Looked into optimas as well but theyre all physically too big.

I agree, I definitely prefer rake. On my other car with coils I have the rear just slightly higher than the front.

What are the widths and offsets on it DeleriousZ? I'm looking at Varrstoen 17x9 +35 but I don't really know what offsets work on these cars and I want to be flush, not poked or sunken. Infiniti big sedans (Q & M) I know the offsets like a book, but these cars have such high offsets (I have 9" -11 & 10" +6 on my M) so +35 is whole new territory for me.
