kevbot
Hey I just purchased this 92 legacy wagon to mess around with. I don't plan on lowering/modding it just cruise around, camp, and have some fun. So far I have been just getting it back into driving shape. - Oil, axle, fender(bought the wrong one ha), roof rack/basket Here is the only picture I have at the moment, its to cold outside haha. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e165/dickinson13/IMG_2195.jpg So I still need a 92 legacy wagon left fender and need to fix the cruise control. Anyone have any pictures of the where the cruise control level connects to the clutch? Mine is broken! I will take a picture tonight to show the broken level/spring. Ihada147
sweet wagon, welcome to the forum! how much was your roof rack and basket? a bike shop quoted me 450+ and i thought it was ridiculous! good find by the way, i suggest getting hids to upgrade the headlights (huge improvement on my 93) and putting some all seasons on and it'll be unstoppable
kevbot
Thanks I do enjoy driving this thing. The rack I had laying around just had to pay $30 for some used q38 clips and the basket (load warrior w/extension) was $200 used. You can find the Yakima q towers for around 150 used so the estimate you received isn't that far off. I will look into the HID headlights. I just ordered some fog lights, 1 set for the bumper and one set for the rack, I think it should look pretty cool ha. I still cant figure out the cruise situation and I am about to take a 1000+ mile trip and would like cruise ha. Could someone snap a picture of how the cruise level attaches to the clutch pedal? kevbot
installed some fog lights on the rack last night but I didn't have enough wire to get the grounds hooked up. I also am not sure where I am going to run the wires? through the antenna? Anyone know how to get it off? here are some pics http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e165/dickinson13/IMG_2251.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e165/dickinson13/IMG_2250.jpg I also took some photos of my clutch pedal assembly. Here you can see the broken level/spring, I figured out where it goes but not sure if i can just JB weld it back into place or if I need a new one. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e165/dickinson13/IMG_2253.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e165/dickinson13/IMG_2254.jpg Is this the cruise control switch? http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e165/dickinson13/IMG_2255.jpg Really hard to see in this picture but it is the blue plug. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e165/dickinson13/IMG_2257.jpg

snederhiser
Hello; If I were in your boat, would have gone to the junk yard and found the proper pieces to fix the clutch bracket. I would also download a FSM and troubleshoot the non-functioning cruise control. Throwing parts at it does nothing, Steven.
kevbot
Thanks for the reply Steven but there is only one junk yard in my area that doesn't have much for old subies and I really don't want to walk around in -15* weather. http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/111-gen-1-1995-1999/46021-99-outback-cruise-control-problem.html is the thread I used to help fix my CC, cost was around $3 and literally took 10 seconds to install. snederhiser
Hello; Here in Denver the local pull and pay is full of them! Must have seen twenty sitting on my last trip out. Hope you sprayed underneath to get the mag cloride and other junk out. Mine has 183k on the clock and hope to put another 100k, Steven.

North Dakota is pretty barren. What is mag chloride?
