mike007
just picked it up recently, traded my 09 Outback special edition, had a wrx and the turbo was calling me back. Had the dealer do the tint and it came fully loaded with navi. Thinking about the rims putting 18's in gunmetal, what do you guys think? I have a chance to pick up a set of 08 STI factory rims, does anyone know if they will work on the 06??

BAC5.2
The 08 STi wheels are 5x114, so incompatible with your car. How many miles on the 06? Did you have to pay any difference? papa g
That looks really clean. I have been looking at those as well. I have an 05 lgt wagon that my wife has taken over and I want something with more clearance. BE committed to DO what it takes to HAVE more of what you want in your life!!! mike007
looks great with the rims, how does the ride feel with the 18's and what kind did you get? I am checking out some Rota's from Wheeldude was thinking about the Grid series or G-Force in gunmetal tell me what you all think, thanks G-Force: http://www.wheeldude.com/wdg/ul/index.php/800/800/gallery/4758_2.JPG Grid Series: http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg164/gf2020_photos/Subaru/P1020572.jpg
gf2020
The Grids you have linked to are mine; they are 18" X 8.5" in HyperBlack. A special order from WheelDude, there are only 3 sets in the US. http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg164/gf2020_photos/Subaru/P1020574.jpg
mike007
How do they ride, nice I was debating on either black or gunmetal.
ScoobySTi07
What offset are the Grids? Any issues running the 245/45-18? The Ridiculousness is no more But you can have your very own piece of it. **The Ridiculous Part Out.**
gf2020
How do they ride, nice I was debating on either black or gunmetal. They ride very well and despite being wider than the stock tires, they are quieter. I am definitely being a bit more cautious around curbs, however! What offset are the Grids? Any issues running the 245/45-18? These Grids are +44. 245/45R18 is the typical tire size for running 18s on an Outback, there are no issues with clearance and the overall diameter is the same as the stock 225/55R17 so the speedometer and odometer are correct. I might have gone with a 255/45R18 with the 8.5" width but that is kind of an oddball size and there are not too many choices.
D_J
Or you could do '09 WRX rims on the OB...same exact size as stock OB wheels.
