Final was 334.5hp and 411.6tq

The cross comparisons you'll see stage2 basically is 250ftlbs at 2500rp . Now its closer to 300ftlbs near 2400. Comparing a stage 2sti most tuning and customers want to be around 300 @ 3000rpm. So now bring on the flame wars from STI owners and 4thgens on stock setups.

Can timing took about 25-30soft pulls before JohnJohn got air-fuel dialed in. Then about 15-20 hard pulls turning up boost along the way. About halfway through we blew the connection to the top mount so got another stocker in there for now. The Perrin one will be on order asap. Few other things will be worked out with some e-tuning due to the elevation changes here and octane levels. Then we'll work on mpg's etc. However I did average 27.6 on the 500ish mile trek home.

My initial impression Driving...umm, putting it lightly "holy shit". VERY driveable, powerband comes on smooth and linear. Not really a big HIT, guess that's to be expected though because of our turbo&exhaust housing. Second thing, I need larger injectors duty cycles iirc are around 92% so it was mentioned we could squeeze a hair more out but not much.

So what does all this mean????

1- Our turbo needs a bigger exhaust housing

2-get a fueling system to support higher boost if going with something other than our vf54.

3- A header and (yes and I'll spill the beans) EFR 7064 WILL be happening later winter

4- my paitence was tested but I'm beyond satisfied and expectations were higher than anticipated

5- ohhh and stay thirsty my friends, CHEERS, thanks for all the support and advice.

I never knew whether my tune was unique in this regard or John did all his that way. I have roughly the same amount of torque thru out the rpm range which leads to smiles all the way to redline.

Regardless, the first time I drove mine after the neuter tune was removed, I had the same feeling.

Glad to hear yours worked out so well.

Thanks Boxita. The powerband is right where it needs to be in terms of bringing a smile to yoir face, and I think that's just Johns preference. If you recall the 2.7l STI he built for Ryan, his seems similar too along with a few others.

You may want to try merchandising some orange and black hats that say "S2" on them...

Your friend is pretty handy with a camera!
Obligatory 'build thread' Increased capacity to 2.7 liters, still turbo, but no longer need spark plugs.

That fog was natural BTW. But I get what you mean, the more and more photos I get taken I can tell who's letting the camera do the work and who's letting their editing magic behind a computer do it. Either way I think its pretty photogenic and wish I had the skillset they have behind the lense.

ROFL ...welllll I can see what you mean. Luckily I have a sense of humor.

The real debate I'm having is to do quad Hellas or put two lights in there since I don't have fogs.
