DaveWilson
So, I did a bunch of searching and found that every time someone asks what it takes to fit wrx brakes on a 2005+ Legacy GT they just get told it's a downgrade. I realize it would be a lower-performance setup, but I'm looking to find a set of front calipers/brackets/rotors I can run under a set of Team Dynamics Rally wheels. I understand the "JDM 4-pot" brakes fit nicely underneath these wheels, but what about just standard wrx calipers? Is it possible to just bolt on oem 2-pot wrx front calipers, brackets and rotors, do a quick bleed and be set to go? Or is where the bracket mounts completely different? I realize this is not a "brake upgrade" in most peoples minds, and it would be strictly for use on loose surfaces in TSD and Rallycross where I would like to run 15" gravel tires so I don't have to worry about getting flat tires as much. Thanks for any constructive input! Dave
zanzabar
you need the back plate to mount the rotors for the front set of wrx , the rear stock set will work with 15" wheels. the 2 pot and 4pot also should use the same plate for mounting. DaveWilson
you need the back plate to mount the rotors for the front... Thanks for the response! Just to be sure, when you say "back plate" are you talking about the rotor guard plate? or something else? Thanks again! Dave
zanzabar
you need the plate that goes behind the rotor that the caliper attaches too.
DaveWilson
Well I got a great deal on some 06/07 4-pot calipers with stoptech pads today. I'll make aure to post up my thoughts after I install them this Spring!

rougeben83
front calipers for either LGT and FHI 4 pot use the same mounting tabs. I think you can use your stock 1 piston floating in the rear with 15" wheels - it uses the same 11.4" vented rotor as the FHI 2 pot rear caliper.
