ghibli99
Edit: More shots here: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?p=726069#post726069 Hey guys, I know it's not a Legacy, but since I bought these from an LGT owner (4boxparts), I thought I might slip these in by association. We had an install meet down in OC over the weekend, and I put these on just prior. I really like the way they turned out... the color is a pretty close match to the paint, the look is subtle, and the best part: no rubbing in the back so far... I haven't carried more than 1 passenger + my four old wheels/tires in the back, though. The tires are a major improvement from the stock RE92s, but you give up some ride comfort for surefootedness through turns. For anyone interested, here's the setup: Volk LE TE37 18x7.5, +48mm (clears the 4-pots just fine) Kumho ECSTA SPT 225/40/18 (from 215/45/17 RE92s) Lowered on Swift springs, stock struts -Mike http://mysite.verizon.net/resrs1iq/volk01.jpg http://mysite.verizon.net/resrs1iq/id4.jpg

Longitude
looks nice bro. just wish that the tails light didn't look so "ricey" Werd. Awesome looking ride otherwise. If I had that, I'd smoke out the tails or swap with 02WRX tails (I know they don't have the round bump on the light, but o well)

ghibli99
Thanks for the comments, guys. As for the tails, I've been considering lightly smoking 'em. I need to see more '06 wagons with the overlays before I take the plunge, though, since they sometimes turn out looking worse than stock. At least their rice factor is below that of the '06 sedan tails, though. Anyway, more to come. Headlights should be cleared out sometime this week (didn't have time at the install day), and hopefully a few other surprises before the HB meet in 2 weeks if anyone's going to that. And Merv, I'd be down for something like that anytime! -Mike
Gire
Great looking wagon. I think the TE-37's will still be lusted after by all 20 years from now, they are that nice. Taking the new 'Rex to Stage 2 with the 2.5L must make it seriously quick!
ghibli99
Taking the new 'Rex to Stage 2 with the 2.5L must make it seriously quick! Not really, unfortunately... nice torque upgrade, but surprisingly little in the hp department. My next mod, however, should help! -Mike
ghibli99
Hi all, I posted these tonight over on NASIOC, but thought I'd share them here, too. I'm probably going to donate soon... do you guys think it would be weak to see an LGT.com decal on a Rex? Anyway, over the weekend, I put on several new goodies... I guess you could call these teaser shots, since I'm not revealing everything yet. The V-Limited install took patience, since the wagon bumper has *no* guides on it save for a faint square-shaped impression in the middle. I was unsure about this lip since the '06s have a bit of a lip already, but I must say that it really sets the front bumper off, and on my setup (18s & Swifts), the lip sits a good 5" or so off the ground, so no scraping yet. Sorry in advance for how inconsistent the colors are from image to image, too. I was messing with some settings in Photoshop, and the magic hour light practically disappeared within 20 minutes of starting to shoot these, so I ran out of usable light fast, and I didn't adjust my exposure. Next time, I'll fine-tune... these are all taken with my ancient Canon PowerShot G1 on Auto mode using a tripod and remote shutter. -Mike http://mysite.verizon.net/resrs1iq/vlip01.jpg http://mysite.verizon.net/resrs1iq/vlip02.jpg Yes, the actual STI emblem on my lip slopes up by about 1 degree. The lip is on straight; it just shipped this way. It doesn't sound like much, but it bothers me, so I'm gonna warm it up soon and readjust it. Not too big a deal: http://mysite.verizon.net/resrs1iq/vlip03.jpg I replaced my fogs with some PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow bulbs. So much better: http://mysite.verizon.net/resrs1iq/vlip04.jpg The classic BMI shot... all I need are spec overlays in bright colors: http://mysite.verizon.net/resrs1iq/vlip05.jpg

ghibli99
^^^ Thanks, man! From here on out, I have to be careful about not pushing the car into Riceville territory. ghibli99
Hahaha... nah, the wagon is still pretty tame... Cobb's CA91 map is pretty conservative. Top end is much better, though! We'll see what happens after my visit to Gruppe-S in September. It was really fun doing the swap, though... frustrating at times, but it's good to know that if my friends were ever doing a swap of their own, I could help 'em out. -Mike
