make sure you are selecting the correct port in the upper left hand corner. Plug the cable in before you start LV OR hit the refresh icon if you plug it in after. If you don't know the correct COM port you can look under ports in the device manager (cable plugged in) or try each port that is available in the list.

Also, you need to make sure the ignition is on, just like romraider (engine does NOT have to be running, though).

it generates a comm log in the same directory you have LV installed whether or not it connects. Or just click on comm log after it fails and cut and paste that. If that is greyed out, that means you are using an older version. DL 0.6a.

This ECU is not supported. What this means is one of two things:

1. No one with the same ECU ROM revision as yours has ever uploaded that ROM for support to be added. Each model/year can have multiple revisions. You can upload your ROM for support to the romraider site.

2. You or your tuner changed the ECU id and it does not reflect the actual ROM revision. Cobb's mapping software allows you to do this, I believe. An OS tuner could also do this with a hex editor.

With the vag-com cable you should be able to pull the ROM with Ecuflash as others have done with that cable (I think there's a FAQ or something about that cable on this site). So, you can pull the ROM and then PM it to me at the RomRaider site. I can tell what is going on then.
