shediesforhim
I have a feeling my transmission has slipped. I was wondering if anyone could confirm it. I drive an automatic 2.5i, and when I take my foot off the gas, the RPM's drop quick, there seems to be no resistance at all on my gas pedal, and my RPM's aren't where they normally are. Anything else I should look for, or should I bring it in?
one69chev
your tranny will slip on acceleration----when you give it gas in a forward/reverse gear, the tach will show an increase in rpms, but you won't go anywhere; kinda like being in neutral. sounds like to me you're letting your foot off the go pedal right before a gear change, which causes the engine to rev and the quick rpm drop........try using other shift modes as well...... shediesforhim
that's what I thought I was doing, but my brother who drives a gt said it was a tranny slip. the weird thing is when I noticed that this MIGHT be it, my gas pedal seemed EXTREMELY easy to push.. meier motor sports
the gas pedal is drive by wire. no actual cable or linkage. it will always be easy to push no matter what
ShrinerMonkey
How exactly does an automatic transmission slip since by design it ALWAYS slips until TC lockup?
