garageboy
Am looking at an 08 Legacy 2.5i. Carfax states " drive belt(s) replaced". Does this mean the timing belt was replaced? I am going to contact dealer tomorrow to ask if they know, but I would like some professional opinions first. Thank you very much.
bluesuby
Probably not. My drive belts needed replacement at 60,000 miles. The timing belt should be done at 105,000. I had the drive belts replaced a second time when the timing belt was done.

Akasa
I questioned the same thing when I noticed that on my service record at around 70k. I called Subaru, they told me that they were both drivebelts that are attached to the crank pulley. This is NOT the timing belt, I can confirm that. orndog
They should have listed as "accessory drive belts" to properly avoid any confusion.
