Coupon
I haven't posted since I sold my 07 LGT 3 years ago, but my girlfriend just picked up a 2005 Outback 2.5i yesterday. Happy to have a subie at my disposal again! Unfortunately, I tagged a deer on the 10 hour drive back to where we live. Nothing too bad, just some damage to the left front corner. This morning, I noticed a leak that looked like oil coming from the LF corner. Since there's no reason for oil to be there, I thought it might be the wiper fluid, and the body shop guy thought the same. But after replacing the LF marker/turn signal light this evening, I found what I think is the auto transmission fluid filter behind the headlight, tucked in LF corner of the hood. I've looked at youtube videos and other forums, and people say that these cars either don't have an ATF filter, or that it's attached to the transmission. Can anyone shed more light on my situation? soh lgt
I can not speak for a outback, but my 05 LGT has a transmission filter behind the battery. So good chance you may have one as well. Sent from my 05 LGT or 02 WRX or 11 FXT
