SteveM
I'm picking up my new (to me) 2005 Legacy wagon this week or next. The window shade cargo cover is there, but the extension part that attaches to the hatch is missing. Looks like a flimsy part. The junkyards don't have any (probably because they get broken). Anyone come up with a better solution? Or is the OEM part the only way to go? Steve
bretonsimon
Tough to replace by something else indeed. I'm not using mine for a while because it fall falling on the ground often and it was hitting big boxes when I was loading the wagon. Get the rear windows tinted and you won't need it. For the new 2010, they have changed this design. The incorporated it into the spring loaded tarp cover.
SteveM
Funny how they changed the design BACK to what it was in the first place. :-)

BAC5.2
I keep mine under the all-weather liner when not in use. I routinely put our dogs in the back, and they knock it down. Kind of a silly design, I agree. Beanboy
I sold mine never used it. Figure if you try to hide something, it must be good, so I don't bother. -B http://www.standardshift.com
bullfrg
I just broke one of the mounting tabs, anyone know if you can replace just that or if I have to get the whole thing?
compsurge
I broke mine a while ago. It now sits. You could get a Thing-O-Matic and print extra parts Other than that, I'm sure a replacement is $50+
