Coilover help...96 outback

hey guys..im new to the forum but i drive a 96 outback and i was wondering if anyone had suggestions on some quality coilovers (maybe adjustable?), yet still affordable? my suspension needs a re-up. thanks

why coilovers as opposed to adjustable struts/spring combo..

 

coilovers arent really 'affordable' for these cars

hmm ya...well any ideas on some struts?

for adjustable KYB AGX is the best, for non adjusting and a few $$ cheaper: KYB GR-2

 

what are you looking for in springs? track use? daily yet 'spirited' driving? a big drop? a minimal drop? etc..

daily driven yet like you said "spirited" is my style...the road non taken

for that type of driving i would get the gr-2s, no need to pay more for adjustable struts if you wont need them, gr-2s are awesome anyways..

 

for springs, i would get the eibachs, its a noticeably subtle drop that increases handling and performance without having to sacrifice too much clearence for those inevitably irresistible trails..

for about $3-400 you should be able to get a set of '04 STi take-offs (struts, springs and top-hats), though that might be a wee bit harder since you are in hawaii. i would still look into it though, im sure you could find someone on the west coast that can hook you up

or for $3-400 you could buy my H&R Springs and new KYB AGX adjustable struts.

 

From experience almost every coilover setup for a Subaru is stiff.
