DIY Grill Questions!

My OEM grill is all ka'fcked up. There are 3 cracks in it.

How to fix?

As far as plastic crack repairs go, I'm aware that most people use a soldering iron & some type of epoxy to do this. You basically make a tunnel on either side of the crack, then fill in w/ epoxy, & sand to appropriate finish.

So why not to this to my OEM grill?!

I'm worried that the soldering iron may get too hot & "crust/burn" the plastic. I'm not sure what type of plastic the grill is.

What type of epoxy to use? Will JB Weld work? Btw, bondo will not work. It's a poly blend, therefore it doesn't stick to plastic

I tried going to the hardware store to get some two part epoxy & what a waste of money. The epoxy hardened like hot glue. Anyone ever try sanding hot glue before? Fck yea it's like retrieving your spoon out of the milk after you dropped it in your cereal.

IMO for $50, it's well worth it. Plus no need to spend the $$$ on a JDM conversion. Good luck

^^this. Or you could PM Jason at R-Rev and ask him if he has any throwaway grilles with imperfections. I did this and got one for $50 shipped in 2 days.
