I say.. "sure, but it ended in 2003.. and in Japan, it started in 1998 and ended in 2002!". Yes it does call out chassis codes, but the vast majority of users have no idea what the chassis codes are here for some reason. Given that this forum is overwhelmingly US/Canadian used.. it should refer to the North American model years of 2000-2004. The minority of non-North American user posts could be moved instead of nearly every person with a 1999 Legacy posting in the third gen forum about their second gen car. Only in Europe and Australia did it start in 1999. In Japan it started in 1998, and in the US it started in 2000..
