jasejase Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Wait... i thought he was talking about a smoke test... As in the equipment they hook up to your car to check for leaks, etc.... A lot of shops use smoke machines, and call them smoke tests. were you talking about a smog/emissions test? Either way, dont see the need to go back to stock tune. Just curious. Last year my aunt,lives in Los Angeles, had to go through hoops to get her CRV to pass inspection. Her CEL was on. Meanwhile I was in Texas with a 91 Accord with a CEL, Speedometer Not Working and it passed. I asked 4 different shops if the CEL was a problem before taking the car.
