8-02GT
I just got a set of 2011 wrx wheels which are +53 offset was thinking of running some 1/4inch spacers. Do you guys think this would be ok or would I be putting stress on my wheel bearings?
BAC5.2
You COULD run a set of 5mm spacers and still be within the range that Subaru sold cars with. But wheel spacers are typically considered bad practice. W1CKED
1/4" spacers sound pretty big...although I'm not too sure of the mm to inch conversion. Generally, the forum will tell you that spacers are not a good idea, and to just "get wheels that fit" These wheels are +53 (OLD PICTURES):http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f301/WickedThird/Lucy20007.jpghttp://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f301/WickedThird/Lucy20006.jpghttp://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f301/WickedThird/FrontLip-1.jpg
BAC5.2
1/4" = 6.35mm Flip Key Development Thread "Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped." - E. spartan
I have heard you would also need extended wheel studs for about any length of spacer you use more than like 3mm. Just a thought, and that may be incorrect, but I had read that somewhere. My other question is can you confirm that these wheels will not rub the strut housing without spacers? I know that was a concern that some people had about running and 8" wide +53 wheel.
8-02GT
I have coilovers so I don't think that rubbing on the housing would be a problem. I guess I will try and test fit the wheels and see how they look and go from there

GTStage2
I'm considering running the 10mm wheel spacers fredbeans offers. I haven't had much experience with wheel spacers so any input would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for the flush look but I love the stock LGT wheels so I don't want to get rid of them! Drift Motion
I had 9.5 +38, and 8 +53 has 4 mm of difference on the inside so you should be fine (coils, not regular struts)
