mailman
in the mailbox headed to my house i hope! right?? lol Funny you should say that. If you ever need to know, yes, the bumper from a '68 Caprice wagon will definitely fit in your legacy along with the rest of the mail.
Helloreaper1
Will 18x8 rims fit on a 99 legacy without needing to roll the fenders or anything? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
SBT
Depends on offset. Something in the +46ish should be okay, providing you don't have a super-wide tire (something greater than 225/40). If you're trying to run +35ish, and a 225/40, without camber, you're going to rub. If you're trying to run 245es or greater, you're likely going to rub running anything less than +45. I'm running 225/40x17 +41 on my 98 and it will occasionally rub on hard compression. Not much camber available with stock setup. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -
Zues Marine
yep, offset is key... running a 17x7 with 225s and i am centimeters away from the strut
SBT
What's your offset? - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

Helloreaper1
Well the main issue with these rims is they are 5x108 so I'd be getting adapters. Im thinking then offset of the rims is 46 Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
SBT
Not sure adapters are the way to go - especially where offset and wheel bearings are concerned. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -
Sludgeroo
From my experience, especially on an awd vehicle, spacers or adaptors are going to compromise the life of the bearing. If you did have the right width and you compensated for the spacer with offset and maintained the same load center, it should be ok Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
Helloreaper1
Well damn. I got these rims for free and im painting them and they dont look bad but I wasn't sure if they'd work for me. I might just try selling them then and buy some rims that wouldn't mess with the bearings Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Sludgeroo
5x 108 is a audi/bmw bolt pattern (and other German makes I believe) You shouldn't have a problem getting rid of them if you needed to. The VAG guys love wheels! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Helloreaper1
Thanks so much guys! Im still new to this so im trying to figure what I can do with little to no moding. Funds are a bit tight right now -.- Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Sludgeroo
I hear that man. Just do what you can and if you can only do upkeep and maintenance then fine. Its more respectable to have a car that has great maintenance history and is clean and bone stock than a shitbox with fancy trinkets. Just because its not modded doesn't mean you aren't an enthusiast! Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
Helloreaper1
I do keep up with the maintenance, I'd rather my car run longer than neglect it and have to buy parts I shouldn't need to. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Legacy_Limited
Has anyone ever modded their stock hood scoop. Most are only part functional, would it be a good idea to mod it so it is fully functional or naw?
whitetiger
^lot have done this, though for a NA car, any cooling benefit is limited at best. the people who do this have done turbo motor swaps and heed the scoop for the intercooler there.
