drdave39
Not me- the GT Wagon! Turned 50K miles this week on my 05 GT 5MT Wagon. Just before, I finally had my first mechanical- CEL read cylinder 4 misfire, turned out to be a bad fuel injector. I have the Gold extended warranty, so it was $100 and I had a new Forrester to drive while they fixed it (same day). Otherwise the car has been absolutely trouble free and an absolute blast to drive. No engine mods (I'm a tad nervous about messing up that wonderful 100K warranty) but I've made a lot of ride/handling/audio improvements with some great guidance from this board: JDM Bilstein Struts/Springs (thanks UncleMat!) Volks forged wheels in black powdercoat and Toyo Proxes T1Rs Hawk HPS brakepads and stainless steel brakelines all of which add up to HUGE improvements in ride, handling, and braking On the inside: Valor integrated Nav/DVD/iPod/XM/Bluetooth phone setup Alpine 500 watt amp and speakers awesome sound, factory look. Except for the black wheels, the car looks stone stock (maybe a little bit lowered) but it drives like an M3 (from a friend who has one and LOVED mine!). Best of all, it's fully warrantied for another 50K miles- THEN I can start with the engine mods:lol: P.S. I'm 52- and life's never been better! NewLegGT67
Thanks for posting a great thread. Post some pics. I plan on doing the brakes soon. I'm probably the only person that has Wu-Tang Clan and Paul McCartney on their mp3.
